Insurance companies will often try to force you into using their “approved network repairer” and convince you that this is in your interests. This is entirely false and is an unlawful practice. It is simply cheaper for them.
Fortunately, you are protected by the Consumer Rights Act and as the owner of the car, it is legally your right to choose where you take it for repair. -
By bringing your car to a local, independent garage, we are not bound by corner cutting and cost saving measures often seen within insurance approved repair networks. We are also held to a higher degree of accountability by your insurance company to ensure they are getting what they pay for. What does this mean for you? You’re guaranteed a high quality repair, nearer to your home, the way you would expect it to be done.

From the moment you decide to make a claim, JRB Bodytech is here to support you.
All you need to do is make the claim, tell them you will be using your own choice of repairer, then send us the claim reference number, along with company details and email address.
We will handle the rest!

Your insurance company will try many different things to keep your repair in their own network. Here are some examples of things they may try, but are not allowed to do:
Charge you an additional excess
Cancel your Policy
Refuse to renew your policy
Such behaviours are unlawful and may be a breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015, Competitions Act 1998 and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Princples.
